Basecamp: City Lights at Ensign Peak
Monday, November 16 | Salt Lake City
New to GOAT? This one's for you. Basecamp is our hike designed just for first-timers, and it's the easiest way to meet the community, get outside, and find your people.
We'll catch golden hour from the top of Ensign Peak, one of Salt Lake's most iconic viewpoints. It's a short, steady climb with a big payoff: sweeping views of the valley, the Capitol, and the Great Salt Lake as the sun goes down. Then we'll switch on our headlamps and watch the city light up below us on the way back down.
Afterward, we're warming up with dinner together at Taverna, a cozy New York style pizza spot in the Marmalade District just minutes from the trailhead. Good pizza, good company, and a whole new group of friends. That's Basecamp.
